FOSA's Biblical Courses for 9th - 12th Grades

This course equips students with logical, historical, and theological tools to evaluate the claims of Christianity, specifically the person and work of Jesus Christ. Students will critically examine evidence from the fields of history, science, psychology, and reasoning.

This course explores the biblical concept of holiness through Scripture study, practical application, and personal reflection. Students will examine perspectives on holiness while developing a personal understanding of what it means to live that is set apart from the world.

This course covers biblical marriage and sexuality. This course explores biblical truths about human sexuality, gender identity, and marriage. It equips students to think critically and live faithfully according to God’s design.

This course equips students with a biblical understanding of discipleship and mentoring through the lens of Scripture, personal growth, and practical application. Students will explore how to follow Jesus faithfully while learning to lead, encourage, and disciple others in love and truth.

This course introduces students to the biblical foundations, theological understanding, and spiritual disciplines associated with effective prayer. Students will learn how to cultivate a powerful prayer life rooted in faith, obedience, and intimacy with God.

This course introduces students to the principles and methods of biblical interpretation (hermeneutics). Students will explore historical, grammatical, and theological approaches to Scripture, study interpretive challenges, and learn how to apply biblical truth accurately and responsibly.

This course invites students to explore the depth and power of biblical praise as a vital part of the Christian life. Students will examine praise, covering its purpose, expression, power, and role in personal and group settings.

This course deepens biblical literacy, promotes spiritual growth, and cultivates godly wisdom in practical life situations. Students will conduct a deep dive into the Book of Proverbs.

This course helps students unleash their creative writing ability to glorify God. This course centers around literacy strategies found in the Book of Psalms.

This course equips high school students to understand, identify, and apply the spiritual gifts given by the Holy Spirit. Students will explore biblical teachings on spiritual gifts, analyze how they are used in the Church, and discover their personal role in God’s kingdom. 

This course explores themes of humility, brokenness, authority, leadership, and submission through the lens of the leadership styles of several biblical leaders. Students will reflect on leadership styles, ethical decision-making, emotional intelligence, character development, etc.

This course equips students to confidently and compassionately share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in today’s world. Students will explore the biblical foundation, personal application, and practical tools for evangelizing and witnessing in diverse contexts. 

This course provides context for the meaning of and practice of worshipping God. Students will discover worship as more than music, but a whole-life response to God’s worthiness.
